Gorgeous family!

This family is very near and dear to my heart. These are some of my husband and my best friends. Recently their 2 year old was diagnosed with a large tumor in the center of his brain. In the last 6 weeks he has undergone 2 brain surgeries, countless MRI’s and Cat Scans, 29 days in the hospital, half of that being in the Pediatric ICU, not to mention the countless amount of needles, poking, prodding, and medicine he has had to endure. He’s a trooper to say the least! He’s finally home and on his road to recovery, but the road is slow and there is always worry that something will happen and he will have a setback.

During his stay in the hospital one thing that the family realized was that they hadn’t had a formal family portrait taken since Peter was born. At times where you are faced with just how fragile life is and how quickly things can change, it brings into perspective how important photography and documenting your life can be. We made it a point that as soon as Peter was home and on the mend that we would get together and have family portraits made!

Well, this last weekend was the perfect time for that, right before Easter and such glorious weather! Below are just a few of the beautiful images we were able to capture that day of the entire family!

I pray for healing and peace with Peter’s condition and hope that those reading this post would do the same!

merisha & andrew

What a great wedding! I love when couples take their love and interests and incorporate them into special touches for their wedding. Merisha was a beautiful bride and check out the dress - she made it herself! There were lots of awesome personal touches like that at this wedding, and I hope it shows through in the photographs of the day how magical it was. So many images from the day - but these are the few I decided to share here. The full gallery will be online soon for those who are waiting for it!

megan & greg

Love this couple and family! It’s so obvious the joy they have in their hearts and home! It was also a pleasure to be back at the church that my husband and I were married in and the same reception site. It felt like we were reliving our wedding all over again! These are just a few of the beautiful images from the day - there are so many more that I wanted to share here but they will have to wait until the full gallery is up soon!

Thank you again Megan and Greg for having us take part in such a special day in your life!
